Note:

I acknowledge that I have been informed that if I do not use the shelter/gazebo due to weather
constraints that I, or my agent, must contact Hickory Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism
Department at (828) 322-7046 no later than 12:00 p.m. (noon) the next business day in order to
receive a full refund of rental fee, or to reschedule rental for a later date. THERE WILL BE NO
EXCEPTIONS. THIS APPLIES ONLY IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO USE THE FACILITY DUE TO
WEATHER.
1. Show this permit upon request.
2. Individuals/Groups using a building or park facility must surrender, at once; to anyone
presenting an official permit reservation. However, a reservation will not hold a facility
longer than 30 minutes. If the person in charge has not arrived by that time, the right to
reserve the facility will be forfeited.
3. Person in charge shall be responsible for conduct of group and any damage to Parks,
Recreation & Sports Tourism property.
4. For reservations call Monday-Friday 8:30 am-5:00 pm at 828-322-7046.
5. Area is to be cleaned after use and trash put in dumpster or you will forfeit your deposit.
6. No alcoholic beverages are allowed at any City of Hickory facilities or park.
7. All City of Hickory parks are tobacco and vape free.
8. No Bands or amplified sounds are allowed at any City of Hickory facility or park without
prior written approval.
9. You may only use the grills provided by the City of Hickory. Personal grills, griddles,
popcorn machines, cotton candy machines, and food warmers/Sterno burners are not
allowed.
10. Confetti, glitter, and party poppers are not allowed to be used on park grounds. This
includes biodegradable confetti. Rice cannot be used as confetti.
11. Tents, bounce houses, and other inflatables are not allowed in City Parks.
12. Pets must remain on a leash. Owners are responsible for their pets.
13. Parks/Facilities close as posted.
14. Motor vehicles must be confined to parking areas only.
15. Groups failing to comply with the rules and regulations of the Parks, Recreation & Sports Tourism Department shall not be granted permits in the future and will not receive the refundable deposit.
